Getting started
Paste a URL, download your media, in 30 seconds.
The 30-second path
- Find the media. Open Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, MSN, or one of the supported broadcast-news sites and find the post, reel, photo, or video you want to save. See Supported platforms for the full list.
- Copy the URL. Copy the address from your browser bar, or tap the platform's Share menu and choose "Copy link."
- Paste it into LiftMonkey. On the home page, paste the URL into the input and click Get Media.
- Wait a few seconds. We detect the platform, fetch the media in the background, and show you a status page. Most extractions finish in under 10 seconds.
- Download or cloud-save. When the status turns green, click Download to pull the file to your device, or let it route automatically to your default cloud destination.
Do I need an account?
You can paste and download without signing in for basic saves. Sign up if you want:
- A history of your past pastes so you can re-download without re-pasting.
- Cloud destinations so media gets routed to your own storage automatically.
- Your mobile download preference (share sheet vs. Files app) remembered across devices.
An example
Say a friend sends you this Twitter/X link:
https://twitter.com/username/status/1234567890123456789
Paste it into the home page, click Get Media, and LiftMonkey will return either a downloadable photo, a video, or a gallery picker if the tweet has multiple photos.
Skip the paste: send URLs from another app
On iOS, install the Send to LiftMonkey Shortcut and that action shows up in any app's share sheet — tap it from Safari, Twitter/X, Photos, or Messages and the URL lands as a queued save without any copy/paste. This is called LlamaDrop; the one-tap install link and full walkthrough live on the iOS Shortcut (LlamaDrop) page.
